Summary: | The invention relates to an optical cable connector element comprising improved means for blocking the end section of the cable to be connected. The inventive connector element comprises: a casing-forming body (31) which is equipped with at least one slot (33) for receiving the optical cable (7), and means (40) for blocking the optical cable in said slot. The aforementioned blocking means (40) comprise at least one axial (X) spring tang (50) which is solidly connected to an inner wall of the slot (33) by means of a cantilevered rear section, the front of said tang (50) having a sharp edge (49) such that: (i) the tang can undergo radial displacement when the cable (7) is inserted into the slot (33) and (ii) an extraction movement causes the aforementioned sharp edge (49) to penetrate a peripheral sheath (29) of the cable, thereby holding the latter in the body. |
