Summary:The present invention relates to a solid laundry detergent composition comprising: (a) from 0.1 wt% to 5wt%, by weight of the composition, of a branched alkyl alkoxylated sulphate surfactant having an average degree of alkoxylation of from 1 to 7; (b) from 0.1wt% to 5wt% by weight of the composition, of a linear alkyl alkoxylated sulphate surfactant having an average degree of alkoxylation of from 1 to 7; (c) from 0.1wt% to 35wt% linear alkyl benzene sulphonate surfactant; (d) from 0wt% to 5wt% zeolite builder; (e) from 0wt% to 5wt% phosphate builder; and (f) optionally, adjunct components; wherein the weight ratio of the branched alkyl alkoxylated sulphate surfactant and the linear alkyl alkoxylated sulphate surfactant is in the range of from 0.2:1 to 4:1.
