Summary:Porous carbon (C)-based molding (A) produced by mixing organic polymer material (I) carbonizable to C with non-polymeric filler (II); making semifinished molding from the mixture; carbonizing the molding in a non-oxidizing atmosphere at elevated temperature to C-based molding; and dissolving the filler from this with suitable solvent, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) porous C-based molding (B), produced by mixing (I) with polymeric filler (III); making semifinished molding from the mixture; and carbonizing the molding in non-oxidizing atmosphere at elevated temperature, so that (III) disintegrates completely; (2) porous C-based molding (C), produced by making semifinished molding from (I); carbonizing in non-oxidizing atmosphere at elevated temperature to C-based molding; and partial oxidation to produce pores.
