Summary: | The method involves emitting frequency-modulated electromagnetic radiation, especially light, to at least one target to be measured, whereby a chirp a frequency superimposed on the radiation that is described by a phase function, receiving the returned radiation from the target, converting the received radiation into signals, especially with homodyne or heterodyne mixing, and determining at least one distance to the target(s) from the signals. The phase function is modeled with parameters, whereby at least some of the parameters are determined from measurements, especially of the received radiation. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a computer program product (B) and a distance measurement device. |
