Summary:Preparation of an isomerate (I) (having research octane number of 80) and coproduction of an aromatic fraction (F) (comprising mainly toluene) from a fraction, comprises: using an aromatic (contained in the charge) extraction unit (E), isomerization unit (U) and separation unit (S) for linear and mono-, di- and tribranched paraffin, where (I) contains less than 1 (preferably 0.5) wt.% of aromatics. Preparation of an isomerate (I) (having research octane number of 80) and coproduction of an aromatic fraction (F) (comprising mainly toluene) from a fraction (comprising hydrocarbons (with 7 carbon atoms) containing paraffin, naphthenes and aromatics), comprises: using an aromatic (contained in the charge) extraction unit (E), isomerization unit (U) and separation unit (S) for linear and mono-, di- and tribranched paraffin, where (I) contains less than 1 (preferably 0.5) wt.% of aromatics.
