Summary:The sealing and guiding packet for shock absorbers has a seal (6) encompassing an oscillating piston rod (10) and in contact with it, and a cylindrical elastomer element (7) encompassing the seal and with two radially extending tabs (7a,7b) which elastically support the seal by the seal's end faces (6a,6b). A radially extending third tab (7c) pretensions the seal against the piston rod's surface. Support discs (8,9) are installed between the end faces of the seal and the tabs of the elastomer element.
