A head-protecting airbag apparatus (10; 210) has an airbag body (16; 116; 216; 316) expanding in a curtain shape which is disposed in a folded state along a roof side rail (28) across at least a center pillar (18), wherein the airbag body (16; 116; 216; 316) comprises a gas introducing path (225; 325) formed on only a region positioned below the roof side rail (28) generally linearly along the roof side rail (28), one of ends of the gas introducing path (225; 325) communicating with an inflator (14), and a plurality of inflating chambers formed in only a region positioned below the roof side rail (28), one ends of the inflating chambers communicating with the gas introducing path (225; 325), wherein one of non-folding and a double folding along the gas introducing path (225; 325) is effected on the gas introducing path (225; 325) of the airbag body (16; 116; 216; 316).
