Summary:A method is described for writing an optical disc ( 2 ) having a user storage space (USS). The method comprising the steps of determining a reserved storage section (VRSS 80 ) of the user storage space (USS) for use by a specific application;-determining which parts ( 81 ) of said reserved storage section (VRSS 80 ) are free for writing, i.e. not occupied;-allocating all addresses in those free parts ( 81 ) to a reservation file (VRF).
