Summary:The coil has a protective cover that includes a protective covering with one level of coverage to even out a surface of the coil. The covering includes another level of coverage that is arranged on the former level as a protective coating (22) against moisture penetration. The coating has several layers in a sequence of barrier layers and intermediate layers that has inorganic and polymer material, respectively. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a force measuring cell with force transmitting mechanism and sensor (B) a method of applying a protective covering to a coil. Eine Spule (13) für einen induktiven Sensor, insbesondere in einem nach dem Prinzip der elektromagnetischen Kraftkompensation arbeitenden Sensor zur Wandlung der Grösse der von einer Last in einer Kraftmesszelle (1) induzierten Kraft in ein elektrisches Signal, ist mit Mitteln zum Schutz gegen eindringende Feuchtigkeit versehen. Diese Mittel zum Schutz weisen eine Schutzbeschichtung auf, die eine erste auf die Spule (13) aufgebrachte ausgleichende Schicht (21) besitzt, auf welcher eine zweite, als Schutzschicht gegen eindringende Feuchtigkeit wirkende Schicht (22, 25) aufgebracht ist.
