Summary:It is an object of the present invention to provide a method of granulation of raw material for sinter for iron manufacturing, which is effectively used for granulating raw material for sinter for iron manufacturing, such as iron ore fines, in manufacturing sintered ore that form raw materials for a blast furnace charge in a pig iron making process, and makes it possible to sufficiently improve the productivity of a sintering machine. The present invention is directed to a method of granulation of a sintering material for iron manufacturing containing powder iron ore comprising a process for carrying out granulation by preliminary diluting fine particles having an average particle size of not more than 200 mu m to one portion of a solvent or a sintering material and adding the resulting material to the rest of the sintering material, wherein said granulation is at least one process selected from the group consisting of the following (1), (2) and (3); (1) a process for carrying out granulation which comprises mixing said fine particles and water so as to form a slurry having a viscosity of 0.005 to 10 Pa.s, and then adding the slurry to the sintering material, (2) a process for carrying out granulation which comprises preliminarily granulating said fine particles with 13 to 60 % by mass amount of a sintering material comprising iron ore as an essential component as measured in the dried state, and then adding said granulated product to the rest of the sintering material, and (3) a process for carrying out granulation which comprises preliminary mixing said fine particles with 0.3 to 10 % by mass amount of the sintering material as measured in the dried state.
