Epoxide adducts and their salts as dispersing agents
New addition compounds (I) useful as wetting agents and dispersants are obtained by reacting mono- or polyfunctional, aromatic epoxide (II) with polyoxyalkylene monoamine (III) with number average molecular weight over 400 g/mole, a primary or secondary amino group and not less than 4 ether oxygen (...

Summary: | New addition compounds (I) useful as wetting agents and dispersants are obtained by reacting mono- or polyfunctional, aromatic epoxide (II) with polyoxyalkylene monoamine (III) with number average molecular weight over 400 g/mole, a primary or secondary amino group and not less than 4 ether oxygen (O) atoms/molecule, so that 90-100% epoxide groups of (II) react and (I) has not > 50 wt.% aromatic groups and contains not less than 1 salt-forming amino group/molecule or is in salt form. An independent claim is also included for preparation of (I) by reacting (II) and (III) as above. |
