Summary:A jack for receiving and connecting with a compatible plug, the jack including a housing (12) having a plug-receiving chamber (20) therein, the housing (12) having an orifice (22) through which the plug (50) is insertable into and removable from the chamber (20), and a pivotable prebiased door (28) having a closed position generally disposed over the orifice (22) when the plug (50) is not disposed within the chamber (20) and an open position not generally disposed over the orifice (22) when the plug (50) is disposed within the chamber (20), the door (28) including a projecting portion (36) for limiting the extent of insertion of the plug into the chamber.
