Summary:Liquid tank, especially a fuel tank, comprises an inner container (1) for holding a liquid, and a collecting basin (2) receiving the inner container and collecting the liquid in the event of a leak. A central region of the first basin side wall (3) is connected to the central region of a second basin side wall (4) via at least one connecting element (8) passing through the inner container. An Independent claim is also included for the production of the above liquid tank. Preferred Features: The collecting basin extends over at least 50%, preferably over at least 95% of the height of the inner container. The connecting element is a flexible connecting strip or a flexible plastic strap.
