Summary:Device for determining the torque between two shaft sections, which move relative to each other, comprises a multipolar magnetic ring (24) arranged around the first shaft section (14) and a stator support (30) with two stator elements (26, 32) fixed to the second shaft section (12). Each stator has axially extending fingers equally distributed around its circumference. The fingers (36) of a first stator element are arranged radially further out than those (34) of the second stator element. Vorrichtung zum Bestimmen eines auf eine Welle ausgeübten Drehmoments, wobei die Welle einen ersten Wellenabschnitt und einen zweiten Wellenabschnitt aufweist und die beiden Wellenabschnitte gegeneinander verdrehbar sind, mit einem den ersten Wellenabschnitt umgebenden und mit diesem verbundenen Multipol-Magnetring und einem am zweiten Wellenabschnitt befestigten Statorhalter, wobei am Statorhalter zwei Statorelemente befestigt sind und jedes Statorelement in axialer Richtung abragende Finger aufweist, wobei die Finger den zwischen den Polen des Magnetringes vorhandenen Lücken zugeordnet sind.
