Summary: | The swirler (30) has a tubular ferrule (52) adjoining a tubular body (40) at a forward face. The ferrule includes a row of primary swirl vanes (54) disposed axially and obliquely to secondary swirl vanes (46). The primary vanes with an annular inlet facing radially outwardly swirls air radially inwardly with an axial momentum into the body. The body includes a venturi between vanes to radially separate the swirled air. An independent claim is also included for a method for a gas turbine swirler. |
