Variable inductor and method for adjusting inductance of same

The variable inductor has a thermally softened spiral coil (2) provided on a substrate (1). A pair of input/output terminals (3,4) are electrically connected to the both ends of the coil. An independent claim is also included for method for adjusting inductance of variable inductor.
