Summary:The invention relates to a method and to a device for withdrawing a sample from a fluid batch, characterized in that a partial quantity of a fluid batch is withdrawn at a point of withdrawal from the fluid batch flowing past said point and is conveyed to an intermediate container according to a predetermined proportionality factor in an at least approximately proportional manner with respect to a detected actual volume flow of the fluid batch. A predetermined sample amount of the fluid batch is subsequently withdrawn from the partial quantity in the intermediate container and the intermediate container is emptied once the sample is withdrawn.
