Summary:Drive branch (10), especially used in the integration of a front traverse in a motor vehicle, comprises a multipart housing (24) receiving a spur gear (16) and a differential (18) having a toothed ring (50) meshing with at least one pinion gear (48, 49) of a driven shaft (41, 42) of the spur gear. A bearing (58, 62) of the driven shaft assigned to the pinion gear and a bearing (56) assigned to the toothed ring of the differential are fixed on the same component. The component is a separate part to the housing and is arranged in the housing. An independent claim is also included for a process for mounting a drive branch. Preferred Features: The component is a bearing plate (54).
