Summary:Embodiments of the present invention relate to a membrane assembly useful in an electro-deposition coating system and a method for constructing such a membrane assembly. The membrane assembly may include a membrane sheet, a guide and a frame. In an embodiment of the invention, the membrane assembly may be formed in a tubular shape by ultrasonically welding a membrane sheet along a spiral seam and placing the membrane sheet between a guide and frame formed form extruded net tubing. Alternative embodiments of the invention may incorporate different seam shapes and manufacturing and joining methods.
