Summary:The fuel cell arrangement has at least two fuel cell stacks (1,2) formed of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells at a distance apart and an arrangement that feeds air required for the delivery of oxygen through the stacks. The air is fed in a partially closed circuit so that the air emanating from the fuel cell stacks flows into the free space (5) between the stacks. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: a bipolar plate for a fuel cell. Die Brennstoffzellenanordnung besteht aus zwei Brennstoffzellenstapeln (1 und 2) der PEM-Bauart, die mit Abstand zueinander gegenüberliegend in einem gemeinsamen Gehäuse angeordnet sind. Die für die Sauerstoffzufuhr erforderliche Luft wird in einem teilgeschlossenen Kreislauf geführt, wobei der Luftaustritt innerhalb eines zwischen den Zellstapeln (1, 2) liegenden Freiraums (5) erfolgt. Die Luft wird mittels eines Lüfters über Kanäle (8 und 9) wieder der Einströmseite der Brennstoffzellenstapel (1 und 2) zugeführt. Die notwendige Frischluft wird in den Kreislauf eingespeist, wofür verbrauchte Luft entweicht.
