Summary: | An actuator for a camshaft-less valve drive in an internal combustion engine has an anchor shaft (20) with a main section and an end section, each of different materials. The material of the end section has a greater hardness than that of the main section. The sections are firmly connected to each other. The end section material can be steel, highly alloyed steel, ceramic and have a Vickers hardness of at least 750 N/mm2. The valve arrangement involves a gas exchange valve (12) with a valve shaft (22) in a cylinder head (10). The valve is operated by an electro-magnetic actuator (14). The actuator has two electro-magnets (16,18), through which an anchor shaft (20) extends, which at its lower end acts on the valve shaft. |
