Summary:The method involves encoding protective commands/combinations with a single signal/predefined combination, associating a minimum security value with each protective command and detecting the presence of a signal according to at least two security value thresholds. A protective command is detected e.g. if an individual signal encoding one or more commands is detected with a security value threshold greater than or equal to the associated minimum. The method involves receiving one or more signals, encoding protective commands and combinations of protective commands with a single signal or a predefined combination of signals and associating a defined minimum security value with each protective command. A detector associated with each signal detects the presence of the signal in accordance with at least two definable security value thresholds. A protective command is detected e.g. if an individual signal encoding one or more protective commands is detected with a security value threshold greater than or equal to the associated minimum value. AN Independent claim is also included for a remote triggering device.
