Summary:An image (18) is formed on a surface (I) of a interlayer (16) sheet using solvent based ink, paint or dye systems. The interlayer is then provided between sheets of material (12,14) and joined sheets of material to form an image carrying laminated material (10) by activating the interlayer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) an image carrying laminated sheet which comprises 2 sheets of material joined by the interlayer; and (ii) an interlayer carrying laminated safety glass. The interlayer is polyvinyl butyral or polyether based aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane.
