Communication with the potential customer can occur before and after a price quotation is provided. The method can include determining if a potential customer is a desirable customer. The method can include determining if a potential customer is a potential competitor. A manufacturer can receive technical information from the potential customer and provide a price quotation for certain goods (or services). In an embodiment, the potential customer can initially contact the manufacturer through an electronic communication network. Another feature of the invention allows a manufacturer to provide a potential customer with a quote for goods or services and allows the potential customer to accept the quote, resulting in a contract for sale of the goods or services. |
