POLYSILOXANES USED FOR HYDROPHOBING
The novel polysiloxanes containing cyanourea groups are characterized in that the polysiloxane chain contains at least one structural unit of formula (1) [BRbSiO(3-b)/2]m (1), and optionally contains at least one structural unit of formal (2) [ARaSiO(3-a)/2]k, and/or at least one structural unit of...

Summary: | The novel polysiloxanes containing cyanourea groups are characterized in that the polysiloxane chain contains at least one structural unit of formula (1) [BRbSiO(3-b)/2]m (1), and optionally contains at least one structural unit of formal (2) [ARaSiO(3-a)/2]k, and/or at least one structural unit of formula (3) [RcSiO(4-c)/2]n, and optionally containing at least one terminal group selected from formulas (4a) R3SiO1/2, (4b) BR2SiO1/2 and (4c) AR2SiO1/2, whereby A, B, R, a, b, c, k, m and n have the meanings cited in the description. The inventive polysiloxanes are especially well-suited for hydrophobing substrates such as paper, textiles, leather and furs. |
