Summary: | The invention relates to a method for processing polymer-based compounds and mixtures, in which an indirect process parameter such as the temperature of the mixture or of the compound, is regulated by modifying a direct process parameter such as the speed of the rotors (2, 3) or the pressure of the pressing ram (8) in a discontinuous mixer (1). In accordance with the invention, processing is divided up into successive phases during which it is possible to approximate the pattern, over time, of the indirect process parameters, with respective rectilinear segments. On the basis of this, a linear reference variation with respect to time is determined for each indirect parameter, during the various phases; processing is then regulated by correcting at least one of the direct process parameters, so that the indirect parameter chosen for a processing phase follows the linear reference variation. The method of the invention is suitable for being carried out also in mixers of the continuous type. |
