DIAGNOSTIC METHOD BASED ON THE FUNCTION OF A PROTEIN PRODUCED IN A CELL-FREE ENVIRONEMENT FROM A NUCLEIC ACID SAMPLE

Method for detecting a known function from nucleic acids (NA) in a sample comprises: (1) preparing, from NA, sequences (NA1) comprising the gene(s) (I), encoding proteins (II) corresponding to the function, plus control elements required for their transcription and translation; (2) in vitro transcri...

Summary:Method for detecting a known function from nucleic acids (NA) in a sample comprises: (1) preparing, from NA, sequences (NA1) comprising the gene(s) (I), encoding proteins (II) corresponding to the function, plus control elements required for their transcription and translation; (2) in vitro transcription and translation of NA1; and (3) detection and/or measurement of the function of (II) produced. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) kits for performing this method; and (2) support, comprising a series of sites for performing the new method, in which each site allows detection and/or measurement of a different function.
