Summary:The pen has a writing point (8) at the front of a casing (1,2). The writing point is connected by a capillary feeder (7) to a storage space (5) for free ink. A temporary store (9) of porous material with a smaller capillarity than the feeder surrounds the feeder and is connected with the outside air at the front end. A separation wall (10) is provided between the temporary store and the storage space. The feeder passes through the separation wall. A tube (11) with a fluid-tight wall extending in front of the separation wall is connected to the storage space and forms a capillary channel (12), whose capillarity is less than the feeder but greater than the temporary store. The front opening of the tube is in the front third of the temporary store and spaced from its front end.
