Summary:The present invention relates to a catalyst system comprising metallocene, cocatalyst, support material and, if desired, further organometallic compounds. The catalyst system can advantageously be used for the polymerization of olefins, where the use of aluminoxanes such as methylaluminoxane (MAO), which usually has to be used in a large excess, as cocatalyst can be dispensed with and a high catalyst activity and good polymer morphology are nevertheless achieved.
