Summary:Apparatus comprising a stator (210) including at least one winding (602, 604), and a rotor (220) disposed relative to the stator (210) is disclosed. The arrangement is such that relative motion of the rotor (220) and stator (210) causes magnetic flux from the rotor (220) to interact with and induce current in the stator winding (602, 604). The stator (210) comprises a soft magnetic core, a first winding (602) including a predetermined number of turns corresponding to a first predetermined voltage output and a second winding (604) including a predetermined number of turns corresponding to a second predetermined voltage output. The respective windings (602,604) are grouped together as a unit and wound about the core such that the respective winding coils (602,604) are wound in continuous close thermal contact with each other.
