Summary:The present invention relates to a composition for dyeing keratin fibers, in particular human hair, containing, in a medium which is suitable for dyeing, at least: as coupler, at least one compound of formula: in which: R1 denotes, in particular, hydrogen, alkyl, phenyl, substituted phenyl, cyano; carbonyl; etc. R2 denotes, in particular, hydrogen, halogen, alkoxy, aryloxy, acyloxy, acetamido, dialkylamino, etc. Za and Zb denote a nitrogen atom or a carbon bearing a group R3 or R4 or R5, with the proviso that at least one of the two is a carbon atom; R3 and R4, which are independent, denote cyano; trifluoroalkyl; alkoxycarbonyl; aryloxycarbonyl, hydrogen; alkyl; carboxyl; etc. R5 denotes, in particular, hydrogen, aryl, alkoxy, alkylthio, etc. at least one oxidation base.
