Summary:The device has windbreak elements behind the front seats of the car. The elements are supported in holders (22), which are moveable relative to the car (12), so that when in a use position (46), the windbreak can be moved into an active position. In a storage position (36), the holders are stored in a storage space (20) within the vehicle at right angles to longitudinal vehicle direction (X). The holders are pivoted relative to the storage space, about a pivot axis at angles to the longitudinal vehicle direction.
