Unit (1) for the flexible suspension of a pair of wheels (2) from a vehicle chassis (3), equipped with a load-bearing structure (4) designed to be fastened to the said chassis (3), a pair of lower and upper arms (7, 8 respectively) at each side of the vehicle, joined together by mount (9) of the relevant wheel (2) and oscillating in relation to load-bearing structure (4) about fixed axes C, D and E respectively, a leaf spring (11) fitted between mounting elements (9) of wheels (2) and load-bearing structure (4) with its axis (A) positioned transversely in relation to the vehicle's direction of motion, and damping elements (13) to damp the oscillations of leaf spring (10). Unit (1) is also equipped with a pair of fasteners (52) connecting leaf spring (10) to the load-bearing structure (4), arranged as lateral strips in opposition to the vehicle centre-line and whose position along axis (A) of leaf spring (10) may be adjusted to alter the elastic properties of leaf spring (10) and to adapt it to the total train weight during installation.
