Summary:The machine has a conveyor (10) for sheets and a printing station (16) to apply ink to the surface of the sheets. It has a station (12) to separate the sheets adjacent to the conveyor and upstream of it. The separating station has movable stops to hold the sheets in a required position in which the sheets (8a-d) are spaced, parallel and so that their longitudinal direction (D) is parallel to the feed direction (F) of the conveyor. A guide station (26) is placed on the path of travel of the sheets driven by the conveyor, upstream of the printing station. the guide station has spacing guides (64,66,68,70,72) to cooperate with the sheets adjacent to their longitudinal edges.
