Summary: | The drawbar has the coupling head (5) and its mounting bar (4) sliding coaxially in the end of the drawbar (1). The rear of the sliding bar operates on a lever (8a) which activates the overrun brake. A handbrake lever (11) operates on the overrun linkage via a catch (12) coupled to the handbrake lever. The catch has a pivot mounting on the handbrake pivot and is fitted between the pivot and the drawbar. The brake operating linkage has an improved ground clearance to conventional designs. Dropping the drawbar to the ground does not alter the brake setting ie. the trailer brake remains set. |
