Summary: | Wet-resilient low-density absorbent structures suitable for use as tissues, paper towels, napkins and components of diapers, incontinence and sanitary garments and meat and poultry pads comprise wet-resilient natural fibres, e.g. high-yield pulp fibres, immobilised with wet-resistant bonds which may be provided by means of wet-strength agents and the structures have a density of about 0.3 grams per cm3 or less. The structures may be produced on a paper-machine with a throughdryer (21). |
