Process for the preparation of N-cyclohexylthiophthalimide

A process for the production of N-cyclohexylthio-phthalimide (I) comprises reacting cyclohexyl-sulphenyl chloride (CHSC) with phthalimide in presence of a base. The CHSC is produced from dicyclohexyl disulphide (DCHDS) and chlorine in the presence of the phthalimide.
