Summary:The locking and closure mechanism (13) comprises a plate (14) possessing bolt-inlets (16,17) and positioned on the upright frame-strut in the bottom frame corner on the closure side. A tilting and locking bolt component (15) is positioned on the upright casement or leaf frame on the closure side on the bottom corner. The component has a bolt (21) resting on the bottom end of a swivel bar (23) movable parallel to a locking rail (18) and joined to a driving rod (19) by its top end via a bearing pin (24). The swivel bar with bearing pin goes through an elongated slot (25) in the locking rail. The bolt has a profiled attachment (22) on the bottom end of the swivel bar and fitting into a bolt-inlet (17). A closure cam (20) is positioned on the tilting and closure component. The closure cam and the top bolt inlets on the tilting and closure plate grip behind locking flanks pointing parallel to and crosswise to the casement's or leaf's closure plane.
