Summary: | The assembly includes a stator core with an axis and a cross-section normal to the axis. A polyphase stator winding is supported by a stator core and has its end turns located at an axial end of the stator core and a number of neutral leads protruding beyond the end turns. An insulator is shaped so as to follow a shape of a portion of the stator core cross section having inner and outer peripheries. The insulator has first and second surfaces and a number of through passages between the first second surfaces. The first surface of the insulator is located adjacent the end turns. A neutral lead conductor is shaped so as to follow the shape of the portion of the stator core cross section having inner and outer peripheries and first and second surfaces. |
