Summary:The connector 10 permits wires 26 to be used to conduct signals through a fluid-tight boundary. The wire sheath 45 is removed around a medial portion 44 of the wire to expose the surface 46 of the inner conductor 48. A sealing material 22 contacts the inner conductor surface and also the adjacent sheath surfaces 50, thereby defining a serpentine boundary 52 which inhibits fluid leakage along the wire surface. The connector is secured to a circuit board 146 with spring biasing member 152 to simplify assembly of the connector into a blind aperture and to hold it in place.
