Summary: | An abrasive article (i.e., a coated abrasive article or a three-dimensional, low density abrasive article) having a sufficient amount of vanadium oxide incorporated therein to provide having a reduced tendency to buildup static electricity during the abrading of a workpiece. Preferably, the abrasive article further comprises a compatible binder (preferably, a sulfonated polymer) to aid in securing the vanadium oxide to the abrasive article. In another aspect, a method of making the same is taught. |
