Summary: | A method and apparatus for forming orthographic color images is disclosed. A relatively high resolution ROS (32) is utilized to simultaneously form a plurality full contrast images thereby yielding the registration precision available in tri-level imaging while providing full contrast images of conventional xerography. The images (42,44,46,48) formed by the high resolution ROS are electrostatically balanced and therefore non-developable. Each of the images in turn is then rendered developable and developed, using a respective low resolution ROS (50,64,80,90) and associated developer apparatus (52,66,82,88). |
