Matériau adoucissant pour tissus comprenant un composé d'amine à copulation d'esters et/ou son composé d'ammonium quaternaire correspondant, représenté par la formule générale (I), dans laquelle chaque groupe R1 est sélectionné indépendamment à partir de groupes alkyle C1-4, alcényle ou hydroxyalkyle; chaque groupe R2 est sélectionné indépendamment à partir de groupes C8-28 ou alcényle et n et m sont des entiers situés entre 1 et 5; de ce fait, le matériau possède un indice d'iode situé entre 5 et 24, de préférence, entre 5 et 20. L'invention comprend également une composition aqueuse adoucissante pour les tissus, contenant ledit matériau adoucissant.
