Summary:For calibrating a network analyser which has two measuring gates which can be connected via lines or via the free space to an object to be measured, the transmission and reflection parameters are measured on a line connected without reflections between the two measuring gates or, respectively, at the free-space connection with a first calibration measurement; then, two or three further calibration measurements are carried out with the same free-space connection or respectively with the same line on calibration standards which are implemented by reflection-symmetric and reciprocal noise objects inserted into the free-space connection or respectively the line at two or three different places.
