Clutch release bearing including a rolling-contact bearing 1 mounted via self-centring means 15 on a guide sleeve 2 made from moulded synthetic material provided with a tubular part 3 and a radial collar 4 receiving a metal plate 19 against which there acts a member for manipulating the release bearing, characterised by the fact that the metal push plate 19 has been fixed to the guide sleeve 2 by local heating of the synthetic material of the moulded guide sleeve and plastic deformation of the heated part so as to form fixing notches 23.
