Summary: | A rail for supplying current to mobile electrical appliances, having a current pick-off which can be moved along the rail, consists of a metal profile (1) having an open cross-section and of an essentially U-shaped insulating profile (2) which holds the metal profile (1) and consists of plastic. The metal profile (1) has a sliding surface (4) between the two U-flanges (3) of the insulating profile (2), and a connector connecting surface (6) in a rail longitudinal cavity (5) on the side facing away from the sliding surface (4). According to the invention, the insulating profile (2) which is extruded onto the metal profile (1) is composed of a different plastic (7), especially polyethylene, from the rest of the insulating profile (which consists especially of hard polyvinyl chloride) in the region of the sliding surface (4) and/or of the connector connecting surface (6). The polyethylene strips (7) in the region of the sliding surface (4) and of the connector connecting surface (6) can be relatively easily removed. |
