Summary:A novel long-term epidural catheter is disclosed. The catheter is of one-piece construction extending subcutaneously from the paravertebral entry site where it is introduced into the epidural space to an exit site on the flank, the proximal section of the catheter (10) extending from the exit site being provided with a protective reinforcement sleeve (12). The proximal end (12b) of the sleeve is pre-attached to a catheter connector (18) adapted to secure the proximal end of the catheter as well.
