Summary:An office space dividing system (50) comprising office furniture components in combination with a plurality of structural rectangular frames (524, 525) having openings (535, 537) which may be left open or closed in varying degrees with a wide variety of fill options, which may be readily changed, to create the desired degree of privacy. The system (50) combines the advantages of a full height office partition system with lockable doors (60), and an open plan panel system. An enlarged cornice (72) accommodates both wiring (638) and ambient lighting (634), with a cornice (72) to ceiling space being left open or closed with a clerestory (76), as desired, without compromising the ability to install lighting fixtures and wiring. The rectangular frames (524) have mitered stiles (164, 166) which, when assembled with other frames, and/or mitered fill pieces (404), create columns (62) defining vertical wire ways (448) which communicate with cornice wiring (638), work surface height wiring (1038), and/or base wiring (1034), as desired.
