Summary: | The invention relates to a method for measuring the percentage of glycation of a particular protein, which comprises the steps of contacting a sample containing the particular protein with a solid phase of an antibody or active fragments thereof affixed to a support, the antibody having a specific affinity to the particular protein, thereby selectively binding the particular protein to the solid phase, separating the sample and solid phase, contacting a labeled boronic acid derivative having affinity to glycated site of the particular protein, thereby binding a marker to the glycated site of the particular protein, then separating the solid and liquid phases of the reacted mixture, and measuring the amount of the marker in the solid or liquid phase. This assay method permits measurment of the percentage of glycation of particular protein in a simple operation, in a short period of time and accurately. |
