Summary:A vibration damping device comprises the two cylindical and flexible membrane members (1, 2), and end portion of each of said membrane members being connected to respective end portions of a member(s) constituting a restricted passage and another end portion of each of said membrane members being connected to each of respective face plates (4, 5) so as to form a closed chamber such that folded portions of both cylindical and flexible membrane members face each other; a rigid member (7) connecting the two face plates to each other inside or outside the closed chamber; a fluid (8) filled in the closed chamber; and a fastening member (11, 12) disposed at each side of the restricted passage constituting member and the face plate.
